The photo for this painting was taken by the children’s aunt. She had stopped by the gallery with her niece and nephew; said she’d like a portrait of them and asked if it was all right if she took the photo. She went out to the garden and snapped this photo with her phone. I love the serious look on the little boy’s face alongside his sister’s more joyful expression.
