TIBETAN MOON was originally done as a collage. I had seen a photo of a Tibetan dancer and was struck by her face. I thought she had an interesting look on her face. Then I saw a photo of the moon at night and made a collage out of the images. I used the collage as a reference for the painting. Lastly, I placed the image of Chinese rooftops showing faintly off in the distance under a full moon.
